World News and Views :: Projects DSM Upgrades EPDM Plant with Advanced Technology1:42 PM MDT | October 22, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff DSM says it will spend about €10 million ($14.1 million) to upgrade one of its ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) manufacturing facilities at Geleen, the Netherlands to use a new advanced catalyst technology. The process, dubbed Keltan Advanced Catalysis Elastomers (ACE) enables the production of a new class of Keltan EPDM products, DSM says. The products will contain high amounts of 2-vinyl-5-norbornene as the third monomer and provide “excellent” peroxide curing efficiency, which gives EPDM better performance characteristics, the company...
