DSM Collaborates with IEP to Supply Chiral Alcohols

DSM business unit DSM Pharma Chemicals says it has entered into an agreement with privately owned fine chemicals firm IEP (Wiesbaden, Germany) to facilitate the fast scale-up of chiral alcohols manufactured using IEP’s enzymes. Chiral alcohols are a key group of chemical building blocks used by the pharmaceutical industry. Financial terms were not disclosed.
