World News and Views :: Projects Chinese firm selects Dow’s Unipol PP process technology7:02 PM MST | November 8, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Dow Chemical says that Qinghai Damei Coal Industry Co. has signed a license agreement for Unipol polypropylene (PP) process technology with Union Carbide Chemicals & Plastics Technology, a subsidiary of Dow, for Qinghai Damei’s new 400,000-m.t./year PP plant in the Xining Economic and Technological Development Zone at Xining, Qinghai Province, China. Qinghai Damei’s new coal-based polyolefin complex in the Xining Economic and Technological Development Zone is expected to start up in 2015 and the P plant will produce homopolymers, random copolymers...
