World News and Views :: Projects Chinese Firm Licenses Acrylic Acid Technology for Saudi Plant12:14 PM MST | November 9, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Shanghai Huayi Group has agreed to license its acrylic acid technology for a previously announced 200,000-m.t./year plant at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, Huayi tells CW. The plant is being built by Dammam 7 Petrochemical Ltd. (Dammam, Saudi Arabia). Huayi says it may also be awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction contract for the acrylic plant and that negotiations are taking place. Further details were not disclosed. The acrylic plant will form part of a complex that includes an 80,000-m.t./year n-butanol plant. The n-butanol plant is due onstream...
