World News and Views :: Projects Borouge Plans Third Petchem Complex at Abu Dhabi12:48 PM MDT | April 18, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz Borouge (Abu Dhabi) says it has embarked on a feasibility study to build Borouge 3, a further expansion of its polyolefins operations at Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. The project would add approximately 2.5 million m.t./year of polyolefins capacity by the end of 2014, more than doubling the company’s overall capacity, to 4.5 million m.t./year. Alhajri: ‘A giant step’ in the evolution of Borouge. Borouge, a 60-40 joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.
