World News and Views :: Projects Borealis announces €45-million investment at sites in Sweden, Finland8:16 AM MST | January 30, 2013 | Francinia Protti-Alvarez Borealis announced major investment projects today at its manufacturing plants at Stenungsund, Sweden; and Porvoo, Finland. The investments, with a combined expenditure in excess of €45 million ($60.5 million), are aimed at strengthening the company's supply and support capabilities. An upgrade of Borealis's 116,000-m.t./year C4 facility at Stenungsund will enable the plant's raffinate-1 and raffinate-2 streams to meet required product specifications for the delivery of n-butenes.
