World News and Views :: Projects Bayer to Expand Polycarbonate Capacity in Germany7:55 AM MDT | May 3, 2011 | Ian Young Bayer MaterialScience says it will invest about €90 million to expand polycarbonate (PC) capacity at the company's Krefeld-Uerdingen, Germany site. The project will increase PC capacity at Krefeld-Uerdingen from 330,000 m.t./year, to 400,000 m.t./year over the next four years. "Global demand for polycarbonate has increased considerably with the strongest growth in Asia/Pacific, particularly in China.
