Bahrain’s GPIC Plans an Additional Fertilizer Complex

Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (GPIC; Manama, Bahrain) plans to invest approximately $1 billion to build an additional fertilizer complex in Bahrain and is also in discussions with potential partners to invest outside the country, CW has learned. GPIC is owned equally by the government of Bahrain, Sabic, and Petrochemical Industries Co. (Kuwait City). Jawahery: Gas contracts have been awarded.
