World News and Views :: Projects BHP Billiton Puts Jansen Potash Project on Hold2:27 PM MDT | August 22, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley BHP Billiton (Melbourne) says it will delay major expansion projects due to rising production costs and subdued market conditions. The company reported its first annual profit fall in three years, saying that no other major project approvals are expected over the next year, including its Jansen potash project in Saskatchewan. The company will also delay an open-pit expansion of Olympic Dam, a copper and uranium project in Southern Australia.
