BASF to Expand VFA Capacity in Germany and China

BASF said today that it plans to expand its vinylformamide (VFA) plant at Ludwigshafen and to increase polymerization capacity at the site. The company will also build a new polymerization line for VFA at Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, China, which will process feedstock from Ludwigshafen.   The combined investment is in the three-digit million-euro range, the company says.
