World News and Views :: Projects BASF to Expand VFA Capacity in Germany and China1:12 PM MDT | July 5, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz BASF said today that it plans to expand its vinylformamide (VFA) plant at Ludwigshafen and to increase polymerization capacity at the site. The company will also build a new polymerization line for VFA at Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, China, which will process feedstock from Ludwigshafen. The combined investment is in the three-digit million-euro range, the company says. Production is scheduled by end 2014. The projects will create about 40 new jobs, BASF says.
