World News and Views :: Projects BASF to Build Engineering Plastics Compounding Plant in India6:03 AM MDT | May 7, 2008 | Deepti Ramesh BASF says it plans to build an engineering plastics compounding plant at the company’s Thane, India site, near Mumbai. The project is intended to meet the demands of the fast growing automotive industry in India. The facility will have a production capacity of about 9,000 m.t./year, reports say. Details of the investment figure were not disclosed. The plant is expected to come onstream by the second half of 2009, BASF says.
