World News and Views :: Projects BASF Starts Dismantling U.K. ADN Plant ...11:55 AM MST | March 6, 2009 BASF says it has begun decommissioning a 128,000-m.t./year adiponitrile (ADN) plant at Seal Sands, U.K. The company announced in May 2007 that it had decided to close the plant. BASF says it has appointed RVA Group (Ipswich, U.K.), an engineering consulting and construction design management firm, to oversee and manage the project to decommission and dismantle the ADN plant and its high-pressure gasification unit.
