World News and Views :: Projects BASF Signs TMP Deal12:05 PM MDT | June 12, 2009 BASF says it will mothball a 20,000-m.t./year trimethylopropane (TMP) manufacturing plant at Ludwigshafen, the company’s only TMP manufacturing facility. However, BASF will stay in the business through an agreement with Fabbrica Adesivi Resine (FAR; Cologno Monzese, Italy) that is due to take effect next month. FAR will take over production of TMP for itself and BASF at FAR’s 12,000-m.t./year Vercelli, Italy plant. BASF will be the exclusive marketer of TMP from the plant.
