BASF Plans Big Expansion in Biodegradable Plastics

BASF says it is planning a significant expansion of biodegradable plastics production. Capacity for Ecoflex, BASF’s biodegradable polyester, will be increased at Ludwigshafen from 14,000 m.t./year, to 60,000 m.t./year by the third quarter of 2010.
