World News and Views :: Projects BASF Launches Projects in Shanghai12:05 PM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Ian Young BASF broke ground last week on previously announced projects to build two specialty chemical plants in the Pudong area of Shanghai. One plant will produce over 30,000 m.t./year of polyacrylate polymers and the other will have capacity to make over 12,000 m.t./year of chemicals for leather tanning. That plant will be able to make products in liquid or powder form. The leather chemicals investment includes a spray dryer with a capacity of 10,000 m.t./year.
