BASF Launches Projects in Shanghai

BASF broke ground last week on previously announced projects to build two specialty chemical plants in the Pudong area of Shanghai. One plant will produce over 30,000 m.t./year of polyacrylate polymers and the other will have capacity to make over 12,000 m.t./year of chemicals for leather tanning. That plant will be able to make products in liquid or powder form. The leather chemicals investment includes a spray dryer with a capacity of 10,000 m.t./year.
