BASF, Evonik, Mitsubishi, Mitsui ink LOI with CPC

BASF, Evonik Industries, Mitsubishi Chemical, and Mitsui Chemicals have signed a letter of intent with CPC (Taipei, Taiwan) to develop production of high-value specialty petrochemicals, CW has learned. One source told CW on the sidelines of the recent Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference in Taipei that CPC is expected to hold 50% in the venture, with the other partners sharing the rest.
