Aramco, Total Progress Saudi Aromatics Plans

Saudi Aramco and Total, partners in a previously announced $6-billion, export-oriented refinery project at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, are “seriously considering” including an aromatics complex in the project, according to sources familiar with the situation. The aromatics complex would be a “low-hanging fruit” type of project, and could be done at a relatively low additional cost, the sources say.
