Amyris Opens Biodiesel Pilot Plant

Amyris Biotechnologies says it has opened its first pilot plant producing renewable diesel fuel from sugar cane, at Emeryville, CA. The demonstration plant will generate engineering data for the design of full-scale plants and product samples for performance testing, Amyris says.
