World News and Views :: Projects Almac Plans American Headquarters10:15 AM MDT | October 30, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Privately owned contract manufacturer Almac (Craigavon, U.K.) says it will invest £50 million ($102 million) to establish a U.S. headquarters at Harleysville, PA. The company says it will begin construction of a 240,000-sq-ft facility in 2008 and expects it to be fully operational in 2010. Operations at the company’s two existing Pennsylvania facilities located at Audubon and Yardley will be shut down and shifted to the new site.
