AkzoNobel to hike MCA capacity at Delfzijl

AkzoNobel says it will increase capacity for monochloroacetic acid (MCA) solution at Delfzijl, Netherlands, by 15,000 m.t./year, raising total MCA capacity at the site to about 115,000 m.t./year. Start-up of the new capacity is scheduled for 2014. The project "will address bottlenecks in the current supply chain of our Delfzijl plant," says Jürgen Baune, general manager/MCA at AkzoNobel.
