AkzoNobel Details Plans for China Complex

AkzoNobel says that its previously announced “multisite” complex at Ningbo, China is destined to become the company’s largest manufacturing facility when the project is completed within a few years (CW, July 11, 2007, p. 19). Ningbo will overtake Delfzijl, the Netherlands, currently AkzoNobel’s largest complex. “Ningbo will be AkzoNobel’s biggest chemicals manufacturing site in terms of the number of people and plants,” Rob Frohn, board member/specialty chemicals at AkzoNobel tells CW.
