World News and Views :: Projects Air Products completes first phase of DOE carbon capture project10:56 AM MST | January 28, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Air Products says it has completed phase one of a two-stage carbon capture project at Port Arthur, TX. The project is part of the US Department of Energy (DOE) Industrial Carbon Capture & Storage (ICCS) program. Once completed, the project will capture about 1 million m.t. of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually, which will then be recovered and purified by Air Products and transported via a pipeline owned by Denbury Green Pipeline-Texas (Denbury, TX) for injection into a Denbury onshore oil recovery project, according to Air Products.
