Air Liquide Plans Gases Units in Trinidad and China

Air Liquide says it will invest more than €40 million ($54 million) to build an air separation unit in Trinidad and Tobago. The plant will be built at Point Lisas and is due to start up in mid-2009. It will have capacity to produce 720 m.t./day of gaseous oxygen and 1,500 m.t./day of gaseous nitrogen. The plant will serve Air Liquide’s existing customers in Trinidad and Tobago, including methanol and ammonia producers, the company says.
