(Highlands Ranch,CO) has announced that it has begun construction on its new 1 mw carbon dioxide (CO2) capture pilot plant at Birmingham, AL. The plant will be using the company’s regenerable solid-sorbent-based clean coal technology to capture CO2 from coal-fired power plants and industrial sources. The facility will be a part of the company’s subsidiary Alabama Power’s miller electric generating plant.
