Dangote awards contracts for petchems and fertilizer projects in Nigeria

Engineers India Ltd (EIL; New Delhi) said today that it has won a project management consultancy and engineering, procurement and construction management contract from Dangote Group (Lagos) for a previously announced refinery and petrochemical project in Nigeria. The petrochemical part of the complex covers the construction of a 400,000-bbl/day refinery and a 600,000-m.t./year polypropylene (PP) plant. The contract, worth $139 million, is the largest single consultancy award for EIL, the company says.   The main facilities comprise a crude distillation unit...
