World News and Views :: Projects Sigma-Aldrich expands Scotland facility to produce dry powder10:40 AM MST | March 5, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Sigma-Aldrich’s (St. Louis) custom manufacturing and services unit SAFC is expanding its manufacturing plant at Irvine, Scotland, to include large-scale production of bulk dry powder media and reagents, the company says. The addition of the dry powder milling and blending capabilities to the facility will complete a five-year capital expansion plan SAFC initiated to support expanding needs of the Europe and Asia/Pacific market, and will be designed with the same capabilities as its existing dry powder media facility at Lenexa, KS.
