World News and Views :: Projects Mitsui's engineering subsidiary receives contract for PVOH plant10:12 AM MST | January 24, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding (MES; Tokyo), a subsidiary of Mitsui, announced it has obtained an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for Kuraray America’s, a subsidiary of Kuraray, polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) resin production facility at La Porte, TX in addition to the early stage design contracts concluded in September 2012. Kuraray America announced the building of the 40,000-m.t./year PVOH plant in June 2012, and it is expected to be complete in September 2014.
