World News and Views :: Projects Enerkem raises a further C$37 million for Edmonton waste-to-biofuels facility8:24 AM MST | January 16, 2013 | Francinia Protti-Alvarez Waste-to-biofuels and chemicals company Enerkem (Montreal) has raised a further C$37 million ($37.6 million) from Waste Management of Canada Corp. (Calgary, AB), a subsidiary of Waste Management Inc. (Houston) and EB Investments, for Enerkem's previously announced Alberta biofuels facility. Enerkem has raised a total of C$140 million, at the corporate and project subsidiary levels, to date.
