World News and Views :: Projects Lummus awarded ethylene plant contract by OxyChem8:26 AM MDT | October 10, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Lummus Technology, a unit of CB&I, has been awarded contracts by Occidental Chemical (OxyChem) for the technology license, basic engineering, and front-end engineering and design services for a previously announced ethane cracker. The proposed cracker is expected to have a capacity of 544,000 m.t./year of ethylene. Lummus’s scope of work includes the basic engineering for the ethylene technology and five SRT cracking furnaces.
