World News and Views :: Projects Croda Breaks Ground on Delaware Landfill-to-Gas Project9:52 AM MDT | June 12, 2012 | Lindsay Frost Croda has begun construction of a landfill-to-gas energy project at its New Castle, DE manufacturing plant. The $6-million project broke ground on June 7 and will use landfill gas from the Cherry Island landfill as fuel to operate the plant, providing renewable energy to power 55% of its operations—equivalent to powering 3,500 homes.
