World News and Views :: Projects … Starts Work on Tobolsk PP Project11:08 AM MDT | August 25, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Sibur has broken ground for a previously announced propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene (PP) complex at Tobolsk, Russia (CW, Jan.14, p. 17). The plant will be operated by Tobolsk-Polymer, a wholly owned Sibur subsidiary. UOP is providing technology for the propane dehydro plant, and Ineos is supplying its Innovene process for the 500,000-m.t./year PP unit. Tecnimont and Linde have been awarded contracts for front-end design, supply of equipment, and construction management. Fluor is the project management consultant. Completion is scheduled for...
