Sibur has broken ground for a previously announced propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene (PP) complex at Tobolsk, Russia (CW, Jan.14, p. 17). The plant will be operated by Tobolsk-Polymer, a wholly owned Sibur subsidiary. UOP is providing technology for the propane dehydro plant, and Ineos is supplying its Innovene process for the 500,000-m.t./year PP unit.
