Atlantis, The Palm

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - The stunning new 1,539-room Atlantis, The Palm opened September 2008 as the flagship resort on The Palm Jumeirah – the first resort to open its doors on Dubai’s revolutionary island. Royal Towers

Each of the 1,539 guestrooms and suites in the Royal Towers will feature private balconies and views over the Arabian Gulf or The Palm Jumeirah.

Water experiences

Water adventures, salt and fresh water attractions and an open-air marine habitat are the focal point of Atlantis, The Palm for both guests and visitors:

Aquaventure
For those seeking high-octane excitement, nothing competes with the playground of water thrills and swimming pools of Aquaventure.
Visible from miles offshore, the Ziggurat is the centerpiece with its 27.5 meter near-vertical drop propelling visitors through a submerged tunnel into a shark-filled lagoon.

Sensational downhill rides and uphill coasters, a 2 kilometer long wave river with over 1 meter high waves and a tidal wave pool make Aquaventure an unrivalled experience for all the family.

The Atlantean theme is ever present with hieroglyphics, artifacts and bold architecture – adding to a place of authenticity and detailed design.
 
The Lost Chambers
Discover the secrets of Atlantis in a labyrinth of chambers. Inspired by the myths of the lost continent, The Lost Chambers will immerse you in an exotic array of sea creatures, mystical antiquities and ancient ruins.

Twenty fresh and seawater exhibits surround the submerged ‘City of Atlantis’. Visitors pass through sunken rooms – the Generator Room, the Navigation Room, the Workshop and many more – filled with the detailed remnants of Atlantean life.

Moving through the chambers, guests travel on a fascinating journey in this underwater world. In the gigantic Ambassador Lagoon, over 65,000 fish swim through sunken treasures where sharks and manta rays glide gracefully.
 
The AMBASSADOR LAGOON
The Ambassador Lagoonan 11 million litre marine habitat and underwater exhibit home to several hundred species of marine life, with a viewing panel looking right into the mystical ruins of Atlantis;

The DOLPHIN BAY
Dolphin Baya 4.5 hectare state-of-the-art dolphin education and conservation centre allowing guests the opportunity to meet and interact with one of the world’s most charismatic animals in an unparalleled facility.

Spa & Fitness

The Spa and Fitness centre is an elegant haven of rejuvenation offering treatments and therapies from all over the world. Set over 2 floors within The Royal Towers, the spa has 27 sublime treatment rooms. The comprehensive gymnasium, with both aerobic and cardiovascular equipment is also located within the Spa. From here, fitness trainers can be arranged for one-to-one attention.
 

Dining & Entertainment

From fine dining to fun and family dining, celebrity chefs to poolside snacks, indoor dining to al-fresco – Atlantis has 17 restaurants, bars and lounges to suit every taste.
 
Four famed celebrity chefs will debut at Atlantis, The Palm, making the resort the culinary destination in Dubai:

• World-class master chef and sushi mogul Nobuyuki Matsuhisa opens Nobu with partner Robert DeNiro;

• Two star Michelin chef Giorgio Locatelli, one of London’s most talked about Italian chefs, features Ronda Locatelli;

• Parisian sensation and two star Michelin chef Michel Rostang debuts his French Brasserie; and,

• Three star Michelin chef Santi Santamaria, known as ‘The Architect of Food,’ opens his first venture outside of Europe with Ossiano, a gourmet seafood restaurant.

 

Recreation

Set within manicured aquatic gardens, the Family Pool and Royal Pool have views towards The Palm. Water sports such as windsurfing and kayaking can be enjoyed from the Atlantis beach. Other excursions, such as deep-sea fishing can be arranged through the hotel concierge.

In a cosmopolitan avenue of retail boutiques, guests can browse some of the world’s most sought-after brands. Stylish restaurants and an ultra-chic nightclub are interspersed within these atmospheric boulevards to create a focal point of vibrant energy.

For children of every age, there are fun-filled clubs and programmes designed to engage and excite. Through science and nature groups, arts and crafts sessions and a marine welfare programme, children are encouraged to learn whilst playing within a fully supervised environment.
