Do I have to register in advance or can I register on-site?
We recommend that you register in advance, which guarantees, you have a printed badge, conference materials and seating available upon your on-site registration check-in. 

However, on-site registration is accepted and registration payment must be paid in full at time of registering.

The confirmation sent by Chemical Week via e-mail serves as confirmation and a receipt as it specifies the date and the amount of payment made.

How do I know if my registration was submitted, will I receive a confirmation?
You will receive confirmation via e-mail to the e-mail address provided to us when you registered.

If you have not received confirmation within 2 business days, please contact Chemical Week’s customer care service at events@chemweek.com

How do I make modification to my registration badge?
Please click onto the following link: Third Annual GPCA Registration Modification Link and input your confirmation number that was sent to you via e-mail to the e-mail address provided to us when you registered.

Can I attend only one of the days of The Third Annual GPCA Forum?
Yes, however the registration fee will be the same as the total meeting price.

Is there a registration deadline?
On-line registration will close at 5:00 pm Eastern Time on Sunday, November 30th, 2008.
After November 30th, you can register at The Third Annual GPCA Forum registration on-site counters on Tuesday, December 2nd between 2:00pm and 8:00pm.

However, we strongly recommend that you pre-register before November 30th to ensure your conference materials and seating.

What is included in my registration fee?
Your registration fee includes the following:

  • Conference Badge – which allows entrance into conference sessions, exhibits, internet café, refreshment breaks, and lunches
  • A conference delegate bag designed to hold your conference materials
  • CD-ROM with speaker presentations (not all presentations will be available, only the ones submitted by speakers in advance)
  • Conference Materials (Program, speaker profiles)
  • Access to the Networking Facilitation Tool

What is ForumNet?
ForumNet is a networking facilitation tool for executives who have registered to attend the Third Annual GPCA Forum. As a participant in the Forum you can use this channel to begin your networking early.  You can view the names of the delegates already registered to attend the Forum, make contact via email to exchange ideas and arrange a meeting, post your V Card, and more.  In order to have access to the full array of benefits offered by ForumNet, you must be a registrant of the Third Annual GPCA Forum.

How do I access ForumNet?
Click here to access ForumNet or you can also access ForumNet via the ForumNet link on the GPCA microsite on either the Chemical Week or GPCA website.

Where do I find my username and password to access ForumNet?
You will receive your username and password in your confirmation email when you register for the Third Annual GPCA Forum.

What are breakout sessions and do I have to register for them?
Breakout sessions are optional sessions that are expected to have high attendance.

Due to limited seating, we recommend that if you are interested in attending one of the two breakout sessions, you indicate this during your initial registration process. If you select an optional breakout session, upon registration check-in, you will receive your pass with your conference badge.

When will registration check-in open / on-site registration open?
Registration check-in and on-site registration will be open from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, 2nd December, 2008.  Registrations will reopen at 8:00 am on 3rd and 4th December, 2008.

How do I check-in for registration?
Conference badge and materials will be waiting for you at the registration check-in counters located at the Atlantis Conference Centre Pre-function area at the Atlantis, The Palm.  If you are registering for the first time on-site please proceeded to the on-site registration counter.   

What do I need to present at the registration counter to receive my materials on site?
For security reasons, please provide your confirmation letter along with a business card or photo ID in order to receive your conference badge, materials and gain access to the forum.

If I am unable to attend, what is the cancellation policy?
Chemical Week’s cancellation policy requires that you send your cancellation request in writing 45 days prior to December 2nd to Chemical Week’s customer care service at events@chemweek.com in order to be eligible for a refund. A 15% cancellation fee will be deducted from the registration fee.

Cancellations received less than 45 days from the start of the conference (December 2nd) will be issued a letter of credit to be used at a future Chemical Week conference. This credit is valid for up to one year from the date of issuance.

If I am unable to attend, can another person go in my place?
Chemical Week and GPCA encourage you to send someone in your place. To do so, please contact Chemical Week’s customer care service at events@chemweek.com for further assistance.

Do I have to make my own hotel reservation?
Yes. Chemical Week and GPCA have worked with the Atlantis hotel on a special group discount rate to be offered to The Third Annual GPCA Forum delegates.

You must pre-register for the conference first and then we will send you information on how to obtain the hotel reservation form that you will need to fill out to receive the special discount rate.
   
Is there a special hotel rate for The Third Annual GPCA attendees and what is the hotel rate?
The special group discount rate:
Deluxe / Atlantis – AED 1650 ++ per person, per night

The room rate are quoted on a per room per night basis and are subject to 10% service charge and an Authority fee which is currently 10% but may be subject to change. The Deluxe/Atlantis room do not include breakfast. Buffet breakfast is available in the Buffet East or Buffet West restaurant at AED 125 per person per day.

Rooms are allocated on the day of arrival and may include a combination of king and twin bedded rooms.

Special group room rates are available until November 12, 2008

Nationals of the following Countries do not require Visas to enter the United Arab Emirates (UAE):

Do I need to pre-register to attend the optional breakout session?
Yes, the optional breakout sessions have limited seating.  If you are interested in attending one of the breakout sessions we encourage you to register for the session during your initial registration process.  If you have pre-registered for an optional breakout session, you will receive your pass with your conference badge upon registration check-in.

How can I obtain a copy of the conference proceedings?
All registered conference attendees will receive a CD ROM containing all speaker presentations which were submitted to us in advance.

Speaker presentations not included on the USB Flash Drive will be available shortly after
The Third Annual GPCA Forum concludes on Chemical Week’s website. A web-link will be sent to you via e-mail to the e-mail address you provided during your registration process.  

Can conference proceedings be purchased?
