What to Expect in a Year of Recovery

All indications point to continued recovery this year, led by China. Producers are optimistic that the gradual demand improvement since second-quarter 2009 can be sustained in the new year as our cover story shows. Forecasts call for global chemical output to increase 4.6% this year, which would nearly offset a 4.6% contraction in 2009. Some possible snags remain.
