CW Insider, Sept. 7: Downturn Dings Executive Pay

Chemical Week’s annual executive compensation survey shows that the downturn is also taking on executive pay. Median total compensation for the 47 industry CEOs in the survey was $4.1 million in 2008, down 31% from the prior year. Five chemical industry CEOs topped $10 million in total compensation, down from 12 last year.
