Earnings season dominated news in specialty chemicals this week. Higher prices helped drive up third-quarter earnings in paints and coatings, despite some end market weakness and consumer caution. Prices are expected to come down a bit, which means margins may rise next year.   BWA Water Technologies is sticking to its strategy, execs tell CW.   Amyris has signed a deal with Method Products, a supplier of green personal care products to big box retailers, to jointly develop renewable ingredients for those products from Amyris’ biobased farnesene...
