EnviroTech :: Sustainability Materials Sector Carbon Disclosure Practices Near Global Norms3:45 PM MDT | September 21, 2011 | Vincent Valk Carbon emissions reporting practices in the global materials sector, which includes chemicals, are about in line with norms across industry, according to a new report by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP; London). Some 81% of materials firms in the Global 500 submitted responses to CDP regarding their 2010 emissions, compared to 79% of all Global 500 firms. About 76% had set emissions reduction targets, slightly higher than 74% of all CDP respondents.
