EnviroTech :: Sustainability Georgia Gulf Taps Galata for Biobased PVC Plasticizers1:54 PM MDT | March 27, 2012 | Rebecca Coons Georgia Gulf and Galata Chemicals (Southbury, CT) say they are collaborating to develop flexible, biobased polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds containing Galata's biobased Drapex Alpha primary plasticizers. The PVC compounds are ideal for wire, cable, and medical uses, and can be custom blended at Georgia Gulf's Mississippi facilities at Alberdeen, Gallman, Madison, and Prairie. Galata president and CEO Luc De Temmerman says working with Georgia Gulf will enable Galata to bring the Drapaex Alpha technology to market quickly and "enable a broad spectrum...
