EnviroTech :: Sustainability DuPont, New Jersey Reach Hazmat Settlement2:54 PM MST | December 14, 2011 | Vincent Valk DuPont and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) have reached an agreement under which DuPont will pay a $725,000 fine and update hazardous materials (hazmat) handling procedures at a facility in New Jersey. The agreement is the result of a NJDEP investigation into spills and handling issues at the plant and surrounding storage facilities and disposal and waste treatment facilities.
