AkzoNobel and Solvay join forces with Ernst & Young to monitor sustainable raw material use

AkzoNobel and Solvay have joined forces with Ernst & Young to jointly develop a monitoring system that tracks and quantifies the use of renewable raw materials in paints, coatings and other applications, AkzoNobel says. The partnership builds on last year's agreement between AkzoNobel and Solvay, under which AkzoNobel progressively increases the use of Solvay’s biobased epichlorohydrin (ECH), Epicerol, in its coatings products.
