EnviroTech :: Sustainability AISE Says Detergent Makers Have Cut Energy Use by 22%6:45 AM MDT | June 11, 2012 | Lindsay Frost The International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products (AISE) has released its seventh sustainability report. The report indicates that the industry has reduced energy usage and cut carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 22% since 2006, which exceeds Kyoto targets for the EU and overshoots the 2020 climate and energy targets for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The report is a result of AISEs’ charter for sustainable cleaning initiative which encourages manufacturers and consumers to adopt more sustainable cleaning practices. 175...
