Dow, Cargill among EPA green chemistry award winners

Dow Chemical, Cargill, and Life Technologies (Austin, TX) were among the winners of EPA’s 2013 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award for work promoting chemical technologies that prevent pollution and have broad applicability across the chemical industry. Dow received the award for its Evoque technology, which uses a polymer coating that, when applied to titanium dioxide, improves dispersion of the pigment, decreasing the amount of the chemical needed and allowing it to work better.
