U.S. Officials Detail Plans for Nanomaterials Research

The U.S. National Research Council has detailed a plan the U.S. should follow for assessing the safety of nanomaterials in anticipation of their increased use in a wide variety of consumer and other products. “Without a coordinated research plan to help guide efforts to manage and avoid potential risks, the future of safe and sustainable nanotechnology is uncertain,” the council said in a report released last week.
