Panel Blames Environmental Cancers on Weak Regulations, ‘Undue’ Industry Influence

U.S. regulation of environmental contaminants is too weak, their impact on cancer rates is grossly underestimated, and safer alternatives are urgently needed, according to a report on the environmental causes of cancer released last week by the President’s Cancer Panel.
