New York state attorney general Eric Schneiderman says his office is preparing to file a lawsuit against the federal government for failure to conduct an environmental review of potential harmful effects of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. The lawsuit targets regulations proposed by the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC; West Trenton, NJ), with approval of the federal government, allowing natural gas development in the area.
