NTP Seeks Comment on Carcinogens Report

The U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) is seeking public comment on its October 31 proposal to review the process used for nominating chemicals for the Report on Carcinogens (RoC). The RoC recently generated controversy when it added formaldehyde and styrene, with many stakeholders critical of the process for different reasons. Industry representatives say the NTP relied on outdated or questionable science; environmental groups says the process allows industry to delay the report´s findings for years by calling for repeated reviews or by insisting...
