NRDC: Industry Spent Millions to Forestall Formaldehyde, TCE and Styrene Findings

U.S. industry groups spent millions of dollars over decades to delay government toxicity findings for three substances: trichloroethylene, (TCE), formaldehyde, and styrene, according to a recent report by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC: Washington). The groups says its report examines “industry’s role in preventing EPA from reaching conclusions about the toxicity and human health risks of hazardous chemicals,” NRDC says.
