Markey Urges EPA to Finalize Dioxin Assessment

Representative Ed Markey (D., MA) is urging EPA to finalize its review of dioxin's noncancer health effects, due out by the end of this month, saying the "two-decades delayed" health assessment is necessary to help protect public health. Markey urges EPA to disregard efforts by industry groups who are "pressuring the EPA to even further delay release of the reassessment with unnecessary additional reviews."
