EU Adds Substances of Very High Concern1:53 PM MST | December 19, 2011 | Alex Scott The European Union’s (EU) Member State Committee (MSC) unanimously has agreed to identify 12 chemicals as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). The 12 substances will be added to the Candidate List of 53 substances and then may become subject to authorization under the EU’s Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program.
