ECHA Increases Reach Candidate List by Seven, to 53

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says it has added seven substances to the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program candidate list of substances of very high concern (SVHC). The new additions mean that 53 substances are now placed on the candidate list for additional assessment by the EU authorities.
